Busy bee days….

Well, I’m FINALLY back for real this time and hoping to get back into the swing of things again! It has been a wild couple of months and I could never have truly imagined how crazy life could be with a 4 month old! It’s still weird to say that..4 months..4 short but long months with my crazy little lady! Her personality infatuates me every day, with her cheekiness and demand for attention.

She’s growing so fast in front of our eyes, that I don’t want her to grow up yet I can’t wait to see what life brings us and what she will be like! We celebrated my first Mother’s Day this year, with a glass of vino and chocolate, a nice little lie-on, a lovely lunch out, Daddy cooked dinner and was on baby duty all day, just perfect! Not to mention my very first Mothers day card and beloved Yankee candle which my other half knew I would adore..

Motherhood has made me so busy, so tired, but so unbelievably happy, healthy and to top it off, I’m lucky enough Isla is a super smiley, healthy and happy baby who still thankfully appreciates a full nights sleep just like her Mummy does! She is also the reason why I’ve met so many new faces, and reconnected to some of the past. Here’s me, Rachael, going to Mammy coffees, and parent & baby groups, and having my knowledge sought by others and vice versa which is just a privilege. You get to know people’s different ways of doing things, there really is no “right” way! I find it all so interesting, but then, us Mums do!

We are hitting big milestones right now too! Isla is weaning (so far so good – not so much on carrot or broccoli but we can sort that ;-)) trying to sit her by herself, almost fully rolling (this has been going on a while now!) and she’s just an all round very clued in baby.. We couldn’t be more proud!

So that’s just a little catch up on where we are at now, my precious doll is keeping us on our toes but we wouldn’t have it any other way! She’s turned me into a happy busy bee, and I have the best job in the world – being a mother ❤
